I love these pictures of the kids!!!

These were taken the weekend of the Bon Jovi concert here in Nashville. My Jovi buddy, Lisa, is a photographer and she took them. We went out to the park for outdoor shots. They turned out great. She took a lot more, but I couldn't put them all on the blog. LOL We got more good ones of Joshua than Ari. She was in a mood that day and didn't want her picture made. Come to think of it that happens often. She definitely doesn't like the camera much. I guess we aren't going to have a model on our hands. ROFLMAO

These are great pictures! Thanks Lisa.

I really want to go.

My "niece" is getting married on May 17. She's not really my niece, but the granddaughter of a man my mom dated. I've known her since she was 9 months old. First off, I can't believe that she is old enough to be in college. Much less old enough to get married. LOL She lives in South Georgia and I really want to go to the wedding. I know that I can't drive it though. Gas prices are just too much and it is too far to go for such a short time. I wonder if I can find any good flight deals? It would just have to be me though with Michael staying home with the kids for the weekend. I know we couldn't afford for me and the kids to fly down. Yet another good thing about moving home is that I'd be closer and able to do things like this more easily.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful day. Ours is kinda quiet today. The Easter Bunny dropped of the baskets and the kids loved them. They've been watching the DVDs that Mr. Bunny put in their baskets. We colored eggs, but they didn't want to go on an egg hunt. Which is really fine with me. It is cold outside today. They won't eat the eggs either so I guess I'm stuck with egg salad all week. LOL No problem though. I like egg salad. ;-) Michael had to go to work so it is just a quiet lazy day around the house.

Yesterday was Joshua's first t-ball game. He had a blast. Granddad, Aunt Marette, and Bubba came to watch. Joshua hit the ball really well and "scored" twice. LOL They don't really keep score for t-ball, but he was able to round the bases twice. It was cold though and by the end he was ready to go home. Poor little guy was freezing. Momma was too!!

Tomorrow it is back to work for me. *sigh* I've been on spring break for 2 weeks and now I'm spoiled. I don't want to go back to work. LOL Only 9 more weeks until summer break though so I'm sure I can make it. Not to mention I've got a Bon Jovi concert (didn't think you could get away with not having to read about that did ya?) on April 24 to look forward to. I can't wait!! My friend Lisa (you'll remember I went to the Mohegan show with her) is flying in for that one. We are going to have too much fun!!!

music=memories for me

Right now I am sitting here listening to Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" and the memories just keep coming. My fondest memories from that time are my step sister and I getting dressed for a night out (yeah we were all of 15 and 16). We would be in our ripped jeans and cute little shirts. My sister was able to drive (she was the 16 year old) so we would take the red convertible MG Midget out. This tape would be blaring as loud as we could get it. We would cruise the neighborhood making sure to go by the houses of the boys we had crushes on and then head out to the movie theater. No, we were usually not there to see a movie. LOL We'd cruise around there for awhile and then head to the nearest fast food restaurant to hang out with friends. The whole time Motley Crue would be blaring. We had so much fun. Ahhhh, to be 15 again.

I've since lost touch with my step sister (we are no longer sisters). We went to college together, but a falling out my senior year kind of ended our relationship. I sometimes miss that relationship and her. We fought a lot, but we had a lot of fun too. There are a lifetime of memories there. We became sisters when I was around 4 years old. It's sad when those relationships end.

I'm jealous.

My sister just in the last six months moved into her house. She had it built right beside my dad's pond. She has this amazing master bathroom that I really really want! It has a huge garden tub with water jets and a separate shower that has way more room than it needs. The kitchen.......let's just say that I almost swooned when I walked into the kitchen. *sigh* The living area is huge. The original plans had two rooms on either side of the front door, but she decided that she didn't want those room so she had those walls taken out. Now it is just one big room. I asked her what she planned on doing with such a large room. Her answer? She is buying a pool table for part of it. Yeah, my baby sister has a common area room large enough to have a pool table and still have more than enough room to spare. I'm jealous. I don't think I have enough room for even one of those cool poker tables. Can you see me turning green with envy?

So I'll be very busy until Friday and then MIA for the weekend

This is my the weekend for my annual girls' weekend in the North Georgia mountains. I am so excited. An entire weekend with no responsibilities, good books, good food, good drinks, and great friends. This weekend though we have some major life changing things to talk about with one of our group. Should be interesting.

Until then I have to clean my house since one of the girls is coming tomorrow to stay with me and then drive to the cabin on Friday. Not only that, but my mom is coming on Saturday to keep the kids for the rest of the weekend and then stay the rest of the week. The kids are very excited about that. Me too actually.

This weekend is the UGA-Tennessee weekend. I will be watching the game of course. And, my phone will be turned off. My younger brothers have a tendency to call me especially if we lose. They are Vol fans (shudder). Keep in mind that I NEVER call them to rub it in when their team loses. They, however, do not extend the same courtesy. I didn't even call them when Vandy beat them. Aren't I a nice sister? I have a scar on my hand where I hit the coffee table when one of them called me after a particularly horrible loss. I so wish it would have been the brother I had hit. It would have hurt less. LOL Hopefully this year I won't get that kind of call and when I return on Monday I can blog about what a wonderful game it was. I'll keep my fingers crossed and I promise not to rub it in to my UT friends if we win.

It's Tuesday already?

Wow, this week is really going by fast. LOL I haven't even blogged about my Dawgs great win over Bama. Bad fan/blogger. That will be another post though. This one is dedicated to my beautiful cousin and her wedding. I had a wonderful child free weekend with my extended family. I left after school on Friday and drove to Commerce (close to Athens........*sigh*) GA. On Saturday my cousin (actually 2nd cousin) got married. The ceremony was held at an old grits mill back in the woods............in the middle of nowhere! It was beautiful. The wedding party was standing out on this huge rock over the water and the water wheel was in front of them. I'm sure it made for some great pictures. I can't wait to see them. I, of course, forgot my camera so I am patiently (or not so much) waiting for another cousin to email the ones she took. She is supposed to do that tonight. We had an after party out at the barn at my cousin's house. Talk about UGA fans...........the hooked up the satellite and brought out the big screen plasma for the game. It was great!! I drank a little too much and had a blast watching the game with so many who love it the way I do. I miss that.

The bride was absolutely gorgeous.......as she usually is. I had to laugh though. She reminds me so much of her mom. She was asked if she was going to wear any makeup for the wedding. She rolled her eyes and said that she was wearing a little bit. She never wears makeup. I remember being at her mom's wedding and someone having that same conversation. Well, actually I think they had to bribe her to wear it. LOL They are now on a cruise and I am so jealous! I'd love to be on a cruise right now.

Back from the family reunion.

I had a great time, but I am completely exhausted. We left at midnight Friday night and I drove the entire way (10+hours). I was up a total of 22.5 hours before I got to go to bed. That was Saturday. On Sunday was the actual reunion. It was a lot of fun. I love seeing my family. Some of them I only get to see once a year. I decided that Sunday was my day to drink................and I did. LOL Around 10pm things were breaking up and a group of my cousins and I decided to go to the bar. We closed it down around 2am. I knew there was no way I could go to bed without getting sick so I made a couple of my cousins stay up with me and talk. We talked until around 4am and then at 7:30ish they are knocking on my door saying it is time to say goodbye. I had to get up and get packed to leave too so that was 3.5 hours of sleep with a 10+ hour drive home AND a hang over!! NOT a good thing!! I'm exhausted AND grumpy.

Oh and it was a great football weekend! My Dawgs won and looked pretty good doing it. I still have my concerns about the season, but they played better than I expected on Saturday. I'm not real confident about the entire season though. We'll see how we do next week against an SEC opponent. And to top off my elation over the Dawgs winning................................the Vols lost!! Hee hee!! ;-) I love to see them lose. LOL
