Happy Birthday big guy!!!

Today my baby turns 5 years old! I can't believe it! Where does the time go? Really!! He is so excited to be 5 and to go to school. His first question for me after I told him happy birthday was, "When can I go to school?" LOL He will start kindergarten in August. I get all teary eyed just thinking about it. *sigh*

Happy Birthday Joshua! I love you very much!!!

Here he is as a newborn. Wasn't he a cutie!!

Here he is now. Isn't he still a cutie!!

Rest In Peace Big Dawg!

I found out some bad news today. My beloved Uga VI died last night of congestive heart failure. It is a very sad day for the Dawg Nation. We lost an amazing mascot. The Seiler family lost a beloved pet. And my own Georgia Girl lost an uncle. He will be missed by us all.

Here are a few clips of Uga VI.

This is the night before the UGA/Vandy game in Nashville this past year.

Sending out an S.O.S (Hey that's a song. LOL)

Hey folks. If you read the post below you know that we are in desperate need of some extra cash. My van is limping along in need of a new transmission. It is going to cost anywhere from $900-$1800. We do not have that kind of extra cash sitting around. So.............if you will direct your attention to the top right hand corner of this blog you will notice a "Donate" button. If you are so inclined you can click on that button and help us out. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give. Now if you know how to install said transmission that would be appreciated too. ;-)

Thanks folks!! We will be sure to "pay if forward" when we get the chance as well.

If it's not one thing it's another

Apparently the transmission in my van is going. It shifts hard and when you hit 20-30 mph it doesn't want to catch when it shifts. I called the mechanic today and got some not so good news.

WARNING!!!!! FOUL LANGUAGE AHEAD!!!!!!

FUCK!!!!!! DAMMIT!!!! SHIT!!!!!!! FUCK!!!

It's going to cost anywhere from $1500-$1800 for a new transmission for my van. It will be $900+ for a used one and not much less if they can rebuild mine. Where are we getting that kind of money? WE HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. Stressed beyond belief right now.

Ok, I'm finally going to post some pictures.

We had a great time in Florida. We were there for 2 weeks and spent lots of time at my Aunt's pool. We only went to the beach once though. Yeah I know we are weird, but with the kids it is just so much work and they won't go in the water anyway. LOL I'm fine with that really since I don't like the sand much myself. This time Ari had more fun in the sand than she has in the past. She would actually play in it this time. Last year she didn't want to touch it at all and couldn't even stand to have it on her feet. Here are a few pictures. I didn't take many though. I'm really really bad about that.

Here is Joshua playing in the sand. He finally got brave enough to go down to the water and fill his bucket up all by himself. LOL

Ari had a lot of fun playing in the sand. She wouldn't go down to the water to fill her bucket up though.

When we were in Aunt Carolyn's pool she wouldn't get in the big pool. We ended up having to go buy her a small pool. That one she loved. She would spend hours in that little pool all by herself just playing and talking.

Silly boy here. He loves that he is actually tall enough to walk on the bottom of the pool now. He still won't get in without his floaties though. *sigh*

Hey!!! He does actually smile once in awhile. LOL

Cool Girl!!

Towards the end of the trip Joshua had to use his sister's floaties because his got torn. He didn't care though as long as he had some and could go in the water. LOL

She does love her big brother and he adores her. It really is too sweet.

There are so many places I want to go.

*sigh* I love to travel. I really do. The problem is I don't have the money or the time to do it. You would think that I'd be able to do it during the summer, but with no one to keep the kids and no extra money it just isn't going to happen. I'd love to go to Chicago. At least if I do the Chicago travel thing I'd have friends to stay with.

I also want to go to New York. Ok, so I want to go to NY because I want to see Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden, but still. Heehee!! I'm already going to Boston in 18 days to see them so I guess that will have to be enough. LOL I guess I do get to travel this summer. I can live with that. ;-)

Huh? I don't remember that

Yeah, my memory is not what it used to be. I was talking to a friend the other day and we were reminiscing about old times. I had very clear memories of that time. The funny thing is that I can't remember what I did last week most of the time. LOL I used to remember everything. Now I can't remember birthdays that I've always known. I can't remember when I have made appointments without writing them down in like three different places. I even have to think about how old I am for crying out loud. Is this what they call "Mommy Brain?" I know when I was pregnant I used to forget things all the time. I thought it would get better after the baby (ies) were born. It didn't. It seems to have gotten worse. *sigh* Does it ever get better?

There are just so many...........

You all know that I'm having issues with my weight. Yeah and being in Florida for two weeks did NOT help those issues!!! I am not at all happy with bathing suit season!! LOL I was looking around and there are just so many different diet pills out there. Which ones work? Which ones don't? Are they safe? How do you know? There are too many to choose from. Oh heck, even that discourages me. *sigh*

$4.00/gallon!!

Ugh!! These gas prices are killing me. When we left Florida gas was $3.97, but earlier in the week it was over $4.00/gallon. Michael has been wanting a scooter to zip around on to save gas. I'm not sure I'm on board for a scooter, but I'd love to have a motorcycle. Heehee!!! I'm a Harley girl. Maybe we can find a good deal on matching used Harleys. Now that would be cool!!!

Whew! Home at last!!

The kids and I just spent 2 weeks in Florida for vacation and job interviews. We had a blast. The kids enjoyed the beach more this time. The 18 year old got his first ink and I got a new one. Heehee!! Love it. I'll post pictures later. I'm too tired now. I've been up since 2am and I'm just about DONE!! I drove the entire 8.5 hours and then had to go grocery shopping. Not fun.

Now I get to enjoy another month and a half of freedom. I love being a teacher. ;-)
