Is it true? Could I possibly?

It is in the works for another Jovi show!!! The dates were just announced for Boston in July. Lisa and I are planning on going. And maybe even 2 shows!!! I'm so excited to think that I can go to another Bon Jovi concert. I've never been able to go to more than one on a tour, but so far I've been to two and now I have the possibility of going to two more!! I'm so excited!!!

Did I have fun?

What do you think? We had a BLAST!!! The weather held out and we were able to walk around downtown with no rain. We met up with some other fan club members at Rippy's. We only bought one drink there b/c a very small rum and coke was over $6. Umm, yeah. I'll pass thanks. At around 6:30 we headed over to stand in line where we get our fan club tickets. We got section 3 (on the floor) row N which translates to be 14th row. Not bad at all!!!

Daughtry came on first. When we saw them in Mohegan we really enjoyed it, but here we were just feeling a little impatient. It's not that they aren't good. They are, but we were just ready for Jovi. Both Lisa and I kept looking at our watches. It was pretty funny.

You could just feel the excitement. Once the lights went down the place went wild. The boys came out on stage and went immediately into "Lost Highway." It was great!! They put on a pretty rockin' show. Very few ballads this time. It was pretty mainstream stuff too. I was a little disappointed by that since I wanted to hear a couple of non-mainstream songs myself. LOL I was not, however, disappointed in the show. The audience was into it the entire night. Very few people were sitting. Unlike Mohegan where there were rows and rows of people sitting. Yeah, I don't sit at a Bon Jovi concert!!! It was HOT though. Jon was sweating by the end of the second song and I wasn't far behind. LOL I so wished I had a hair twisty so I could put my hair up. I was burning up. I didn't mind much though. I was watching my man sweat his ass off so it was all good. *sigh*

They had a couple special guests show up too. Big and Rich stopped by to sing "We Got It Goin' On" and Leann Rimes (grrrrr) stopped by to sing "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore." Can I just say that I did NOT appreciate it at all when he kissed her? I was NOT happy!!! LOL I have a hard enough time dealing with the fact that he is married. He does not need to be kissing up on some blonde chick. Ok, so he can kiss up on this redhead whenever he wants, but not some blonde chick!!! ROFLMAO

It was a fabulous show and of course I am in "post concert depression" mode. *sigh* I sure wish they would announce the Boston summer dates so I'd have something to look forward to. *sigh*

Here are a few pictures. Enjoy!!

I want this look directed towards me!!! Love it!!!

Can I come back in another life as his mic? Please!!!!!

Love that smile!! *sigh*

Okay, so maybe THIS is the look I want directed at me. *sigh*

Gotta get that "butt shot." Can't leave a Jovi concert without it. ;-)

There's that beautiful smile again. *sigh*

Oh yeah.................for an encore they played "I Love This Town." He told us that no matter how many times he plays this song for other towns/cities that we have to know that it is for us (Nashville). Here is a video of his introduction to the song. He may love Nashville, but not as much as Nashville loves Bon Jovi.

Tomorrow!!!!! It's tomorrow!!!!!

I know you aren't asking what is tomorrow!!! I know you aren't!!! How can you ask that? It's BON JOVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this time tomorrow night I will be singing and dancing along with the man of my dreams (sorry honey!) and he will actually be singing only for me. *sigh* Forget about the thousands of other people there. He is singing for ME!!!

My friend Lisa flies in tomorrow to go with me. I am so excited!!! I'll be sure to post lots of pics. LOL

I'm so excited I can't stand it!! Luckily my kindergartners are going on a field trip tomorrow so I don't have to actually teach! This is good because I would be completely useless in the classroom tomorrow. LOL

I think I may have ruined my son.

He has a new favorite song. It is "Blame It On the Love Of Rock & Roll" by Bon Jovi. We have to listen to it several times in a row as we drive to school everyday. He will sit in his car seat with his "hickers" (aka headphones) on singing along. He wants it turned up. Loud. Well, today he asked me as we were getting out of the car at school, "Momma, can I be a rock & roll star?" There is a line in the song that says, "Every little boy wants to learn to play guitar so he can pick up all the chicks and be a rock & roll star." I lost it. It was so funny. I guess though that when he is a teenager and has to grow his hair long and he is in a band I can't say a word. It is all my fault to begin with. LOL

Michael says that I should have told him no so that we could start the rebellion now and make him more determined to be one. LOL

Do you know?

Have you heard anything? I'm looking for any information on where to go "hang out" after the Bon Jovi concert on the 24th. You know, somewhere I MIGHT run into them. Have you heard any rumors? Are you someone who is "in the know?" If you, let ME know. ;-) I promise not to be a crazy fan! Actually, I probably wouldn't be able to say anything to him anyway. LOL

What do you workout to?

What is on your iPod? I bet you can't guess in a million years what is on mine! LOL I've been walking on the treadmill to Bon Jovi (yeah bet you never guessed that!). I've found that it makes the time go by so much faster and easier. I like the faster rockin' songs to keep me going, but I like the slower ones too. I tend to kinda meditate through them and my heart rate goes down. It's a good combination. I just put my little Sony Walkman on the Jovi shuffle and take off. I'm loving it.

If anyone knows of or has a treadmill they want to get rid of (preferably for free) please let me know. I could use one.

Addicted

Yep, that's me. I am so addicted. As you know I just came back from a concert at the Mohegan Sun Casino on Monday. I spent the weekend in New England with my friend Lisa for the Bon Jovi concert. It was great......fabulous.......wonderful. Now, however, I am suffering from "Post Concert Depression" or PCD. It happens after every BJ concert I go to. This time it is worse though. It's a completely different experience going with someone who is just as crazy about them as you are. Don't get me wrong, I love going with my wonderful husband, but I tend to hold a tighter reign on my emotions. With another addict I don't feel like I have to do that. Now the PCD is worse. I'm addicted. I'm afraid this time I may need some sort of addiction treatment. *sigh*

This is a fabulous song

And then you put his voice to it and wow. Just wow.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Bon Jovi singing "Hallelujah."

You should really go check it out.

Here are the lyrics:

I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the lord
but you don't really care for music do ya
Well it goes like this the fourth the fifth
the minor fall and the major lift
the baffled king composing hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
you saw her bathing on the roof
her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to a kitchen chair
she broke your throne and she cut your hair
and from your lips she drew the hallelujah.

Hallelujah,hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
You know, I used to live alone before I knew you
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah,hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
what's really going on below
but now you never show that to me do you
but remember when I moved in you
and the holy dove was moving too
and every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Well maybe there's a god above
but all I've ever learned from love
was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
it's not somebody who's seen the light
it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah

music=memories for me

Right now I am sitting here listening to Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" and the memories just keep coming. My fondest memories from that time are my step sister and I getting dressed for a night out (yeah we were all of 15 and 16). We would be in our ripped jeans and cute little shirts. My sister was able to drive (she was the 16 year old) so we would take the red convertible MG Midget out. This tape would be blaring as loud as we could get it. We would cruise the neighborhood making sure to go by the houses of the boys we had crushes on and then head out to the movie theater. No, we were usually not there to see a movie. LOL We'd cruise around there for awhile and then head to the nearest fast food restaurant to hang out with friends. The whole time Motley Crue would be blaring. We had so much fun. Ahhhh, to be 15 again.

I've since lost touch with my step sister (we are no longer sisters). We went to college together, but a falling out my senior year kind of ended our relationship. I sometimes miss that relationship and her. We fought a lot, but we had a lot of fun too. There are a lifetime of memories there. We became sisters when I was around 4 years old. It's sad when those relationships end.

This has to be the sexiest Bon Jovi video I've ever seen.

At least in recent memory. It is 'Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore' with Leann Rimes. You have to watch all the way to the end to get to the sexy part. ;-) O....M....G!! HOT!! Can I just say that I love that man? *sigh*

Sorry Honey! ;-)

April 24, 2008

Do you know what you will be doing that night? I do!! I'll be at the GEC (okay so it is now the Sommet Center, but I like GEC better). What will I be doing there? I'm so glad you asked!! I will be spending the evening with Bon Jovi!! Yep, the new tour dates have been announced and they will be in Nashville on April 24. I can't wait!!!! I'm giddy!! Yes, I realize I'm incredibly sad. LOL I've made hotel reservations for downtown and I've already decided to take the next day off from work. Can't very well go out after the concert and be at my best with 17 five year olds the next day. LOL I have a friend coming into town from Boston for the concert too. This will be the first time I get to go with someone who loves them as much as I do. Hee hee!! I'm so excited!!!

What is it about this guy?

I've found myself loving John Mayer. I'm not sure why. I was upset that I missed his concert here in Nashville.

Don't worry though. He hasn't replaced my other Jon. ;-)

Ah, memories

The Thompson Brothers Band - Cows on Main Street

Michael and I were talking about something last night and it got me to thinking/remembering. When I was in college I followed this band, The Thompson Brothers. Okay, I didn't really follow them, but I never missed a show when they came to our favorite honky tonk, The Country Rock Cafe, in Athens. They even recorded a song there for their first CD. I was there that night of course. LOL The first night they were there a friend of mine and I decided to run an experiment. We were taking a nonverbal communications class and one of the big things they talked about was eye contact being so powerful. We decided that we were going to try it out. We chose who we thought was the best looking guy in the building that night and didn't ever go talk to him, but made eye contact as much as possible. My choice was the drummer in the band, Matt. Every time I was dancing I would make eye contact with him. I'd smile. He'd smile. At the end of the night he ended up coming to talk to me. We danced the last couple dances. Every night they were in town after that we would dance when they were taking a break. One night he even got someone else to play drums while he danced with me. Yeah, I had a major crush on him. LOL He was a doll. Anyway, they used to live here in Nashville. Michael and I were able to go see them a few times. I'm not sure if they are still here or not. They had 3 CDs released, but I don't think they got much play on country radio. They were good though and a lot of fun. I wish I could find them again. Here is the only video they released. It played on CMT and VH1.

Bon Jovi's Lost Highway sneak peek!

I have a link to the new Bon Jovi album, Lost Highway. It comes out on June 19, but you can listen to the entire thing here! It is a great album! I've already listened to it twice tonight. I can't wait to have it in my car too. I really like Make a Memory, We Got it Going On, Any Other Day, and......oh heck who am I kidding? I love them all!

Go check it out!
