I'm confused

Ok, this digital tv thing that is coming in.............2009? So does this affect only those tvs that have an antenna? Or, does it affect all tvs? Am I going to have to go out and buy a HDMI switch or something like that? I have a non-antenna tv with digital cable. I'm hoping that is fine. I'd hate to have to spend a lot more money just to watch tv. I'm already mad that my cable company took off the NFL Network from the free channels. LOL

Paige,

I'm certainly no expert but from what I understand as long as we have either cable or satellite coming to our tv's then we are fine. Where it's going to screw folks up are the ones without cable and just use the bunny ears to get regular network channels. Those people will need the converter box. Can you even imagine only having five channels to choose from? I know that's how we grew up, but I can't even imagine not having cable and my TiVo anymore. :)

Yep, you should be fine. My FIL who used bunny ears and tinfoil, however, is not to happy with the whole deal.

I was going to say basically the same thing that Peach said. If you don't have cable or satellite then you will have no reception no matter what kind of tv you have.
